Ottawa festival displays Mlacak art

Meet more than 100 artists
including Kanata painter John
Mlacak during the Ottawa Art
Festival running May 11 to 13 at the Carleton University Field House.

Mlacak, who is known for his
impressionistic Canadian landscapes and vibrant use of colour, said he's proud to have been selected to exhibit and sell his 2007 collection of original oil paintings at the show.

He would like to extend an invitation to everyone to come out
and visit this well-established art
festival and be part of a unique art
awareness weekend.

The festival runs May 11, from
5 to 9 p.m., May 12, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and May 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Net proceeds from the festival
support the Kidney Foundation of
Canada.
